EDUCATIONAL SECTIONS
Pre-Primary / Play Group
Age range from 3 to 6 years having moderate to severe Intellectual disability. Focus area: The overall development and training of the children through Play way method
Primary Section
Children of 7 to 10 years of age group from mild to moderate category are admitted in secondary group for teaching and training in various skills like reading, writing, number, money, time and social skills. They participate in various curricular and co curricular activities like music, dance, yoga gym and sports.
Secondary Section
Children of 11 to 14 years of age group from mild to moderate category are admitted in secondary group for teaching and training in various skills like reading, writing, number, money, time and social skills. They participate in various curricular and co curricular activities like music, dance, yoga gym and sports.
Pre-Vocational Section
Student from 15-18 years learns those skills and Behaviors which are necessary for a particular vocation. It is an important phase of training between functional academics (School Education Programme) to vocational (work) Programme. They acquire pre-requisite skills required for the vocational training e.g. for Masala grinding, a child learns filling, sorting, number concept, weighing concept , identification of Masalas etc.
Vocational Section
Student above 18 years learns vocational activities related selected employment field like self employment, open employment, sheltered employment according to student’s abilities, need and available opportunities in community such like as binding,photocopy,candle making, art and craft, home decorations, stitching, cloth bag making, phenyl for home cleaning, organic soap making, laddu gopal dresses and jewelry, bed, jhula etc. Students also trained for Behavior necessary for work place and related behaviors like sex appropriate behavior, regularity and punctuality.
Autism Section
Students diagnosed with Autism associated with Intellectual Disability. As Autism core deficits areas are communication, socialization and rigidity in thinking, so these children are basically trained primarily on communication skills to improve their socialization skills/activities which leads to flexibility in thinking. Occupational therapy, speech therapy and sensory integration therapy also give to students to improve their responses.
NIOS Section
Students diagnose with moderate to mild category and other disabilities treats with education programme according to their range and IQ levels. Teachers help students in learning process using multimedia, adaptation in input and output, extra classes and fun teaching.
I.T Section
At TapovanManovikas Vidyalaya , we leverage IT to transform special education for intellectually disabled and autistic children. Interactive software, educational apps, and multimedia tools create personalized learning experiences, fostering independence, engagement, and multisensory learning. IT bridges the gap between disability and ability, empowering our students to reach new heights.
Digital Class
At TapovanManovikas Vidyalaya , we harness the power of digital technology to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences for intellectually disabled children. Our digital classes utilize interactive multimedia content, educational software, and virtual learning platforms to cater to diverse learning needs. This innovative approach enables our students to access a world of knowledge, develop essential skills, and build confidence, ultimately bridging the gap between disability and ability.
UDL section
At TapovanManovikas Vidyalaya , our Universal Design for Learning (UDL) section provides intellectually disabled children with a personalized learning experience. We use varied Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) like multimedia, tactile aids, and assistive technology, and activities include multisensory lessons, hands-on experiments, and project-based learning. This approach empowers our students to access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Yoga Section
Yoga is a path to holistic development. School students of GRIID are trained in yogic practices such as asana, pranayama, kriyas, mudras, band has and taught yogic principles as per their scheduled time-table. It helps to improve their health, develop overall personality and create happiness. Students are prepared in yoga dance demonstrations to perform in various functions. They participate in the celebrations of International Day of Yoga-21st June. Students also participate in yogasana competition and win prizes. Research activities are also carried out in the field of yoga.
Gym Section
Programmes such as aerobics, treadmill, twister, cross trainer cycling, sit up sessions are available in gym. Weight reduction programme, cardiovascular endurance, increase flexibility and physical strength and development of physical and mental health are the focusing areas. Research activity is also carried out at GRIID. Students are given gym classes as per their scheduled time-table.
Sports Section
Participating in individual and team games, giving knowledge of skills, development of agility, endurance, flexibility , balance and eye-hand co-ordination are the focusing areas of development. Students participate in various tournaments of Special Olympics. GRIID organizes National Sports Meet for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities to encourage the talent of sports in these children.
Dance Section
At TapovanManovikas Vidyalaya , our dance section harnesses the therapeutic power of movement to nurture the overall development of our students with intellectual disabilities. Through dance therapy, our trained instructors use rhythmic movements, gestures, and expressions to promote physical coordination, balance, and flexibility. This creative outlet also fosters emotional expression, social interaction, and confidence-building, allowing our students to communicate and connect with others in a unique and meaningful way.
Music Section
At TapovanManovikas Vidyalaya , music therapy plays a vital role in our students' development. Our specially trained instructors use music to promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth, encouraging self-expression, creativity, and social interaction. Music therapy helps our students develop essential life skills, build confidence, and experience joy, fostering inclusivity and belonging.
Resource Room Section
At Tapovan Manovikas Vidhyalya , our Resource Room provides individualized support to intellectually disabled, autistic, and ADHD students. Equipped with adaptive technology and educational software, our trained special educators develop personalized learning plans, addressing each student's unique needs. Activities include sensory integration, fine motor skills development, cognitive training, social skills training, and emotional regulation strategies, facilitating overall development and well-being.
